I cost Target $500 tonight!
I was on my way home from having dinner with Bev, when I got a call from Matt, Anna and Dave. "Dude, someone put the Back To The Future DVD Box Set out a week early, it's only 40 bucks!" With that I was on my way to Target. By the time I got there, one of the employees was hip to the mistake and within minutes of me picking up my copy, there was someone throwing them all into a shopping cart then taking them to the back. He told us they weren't supposed to be out on the shelves yet and that for every copy sold before the release date, Target gets fined 500 bucks. I had to have it though. It's all three movies, on 3 DVDs with tons of extra hit including the music video for The Power Of Love by Huey Lewis and The News. Fuck Yeah!
My math final was fucked, not sure, but that might be a repeat class. Not good. Chemistry wasn't too bad. I think I did OK. Bio is tomorow at 10:00am. After that I am done until January 6th! I'm selling back the books tomorow as well. I got 61 bucks for my chem book tonight, going to bring everythng else back tomorow. Hoping to get at least 200 out of them. Should pay for most of the Christmas shopping I need to do, it's two weeks away, craziness....
P.S. The Greystreet video is off the hook! I cannot wait for the DVD to come out!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
That's about all I can say, but I guess I should elaborate a little bit.
Soo, it's been interesting. I guess I should go back to Tool. They were absolutely awesome, however, Fresno sucks ass. The crowd was just horrible. These kids in front of us kept getting up and down all night, and were playing musical chairs all over the place. They also kept playing with their cell phones and talking all night. They were very annoying, to the point that it brought me down. The cool thing was that they were recording this show. I noticed cameras all over the place at the show and saw some mics coming up from the soundboard area. During the show Maynard said "By the way, we're recording tonight, so feel free to make some noise." and the crowd goes crazy, then he comes back with "Well, let me define noise. You assholes with the cell phones that are too busy to pay attention to the show and have to take care of business, knock it off, you're fucking with the equipment." It was the coolest thing he said that night.
After the show we partied at my buddy Kevin's house. We got nice and smashed. The next day we all woke up around noon and went to Lyon's. For those who are not familiar, Lyon's is kind of like a Denny's type place, but much better. They used to be all over the place, but their numbers are shrinking greatly. So, naturally when we discovered there was a Lyon's nearby, we had to eat there. It was awesome.
We got home around 7:00 that night and decided we would try to go see Friday After Next that night. NNN, Sarah and I met up with Kelly and Danielle at Target. We walked around and had fun, but I didn't get anything. After that we hit up Taco Bell. From there, NNN, Sarah and I headed off for the movies. We got there and got tickets. When we tried to get in the guy checking tickets stopped us "There's a hold out line for this movie, outside, you need to wait out there." Nathan and I were like "we're here for the Friday movie, that line is for James Bond." The guy then says, you have tickets for that movie. Sure enough we look and the idiot at the box office had printed the wrong tickets for me and nathan. We go to Guest Services as instructed and explain. The lady there says "ok, I'll get you tickets for the right movie." Just then an announcement comes on over her radio "attention all staff, the 12:10 showing of Friday After Next is now sold out." It was seriously something right out of a movie, I could not beleive it. Needless to say, we were a bit pissed.
The next day I went to work and tried to get ahold of Lisa to go see her, but got the voicemail twice. I called Matt and headed over to his place. We kicked it for a bit and went to BevMo to cash in on Matt's coupon. While I was there Lisa called, so I told her I hadn't heard from her and had some plans already and asked if she wanted to come over, she said no. So after that, Matt and I ate then got in contact with Nathan and Sarah and the four of us went to see Friday After Next. This time we got the right tickets. It was a damn funny movie.
Monday I had school and then called Lisa, no answer. She called me back around 10:00 that night and said "we need to talk" so we arranged to meet the next night for dinner.
Tuesday night, she came over and we went out to dinner. The car ride down was ok, but I could feel tension. During dinner, things were weird as hell, it was like she didn't want to be there. Everytime I tried talking, to start a conversation, it went down in flames. I felt like I was on that show "Blind Date" and experiencing one of the "dates from hell." After dinner she asked to go get Starbucks, so we went and on the way in I asked her what was going on in her head. She did the typical girl thing "Huh? Nothing." I called bullshit and she asked if we could get coffee first. I got her the coffee and on our way out and I asked again, and said she wanted to go somewhere to talk. In the car I asked yet again and she again put it off saying she wanted to talk to me while I wasn't driving. So, I drove us up to the top of Crestview, which has one of the most beautiful views of the Bay Area. It was a clear night and you could see everything from San Francisco to the East Bay all the way down. I parked the car and turned off the engine. I looked at her and asked for the final time what was going on.
In the back of my mind, I knew what was about to happen. Lisa looked upset and was midly shaking. She went on with this thing about how lately it seems we don't spend any time together and that it seems like I just want to be friends with her. I was upset and she could tell. She asked if that was how I felt and I said no. We talked and cried for a while up on the hill in my car. We said we wanted to be friends and nip this before it got out of control. I told her I really liked her, but at the same time, my schedule is my schedule. I have to work and I have to go to school, and there wasn't much I could do to change this. We agreed to be friends and think about things more and to see how things go. From what I can see, it's pretty much over. I always told people I was too busy to have a girlfriend, and I proved my theory correct. It sucks.
I talked to Lisa last night, and it was really awkward. She asked me if I hated her every 3 seconds, eventhough I said no every time. It was just a weird conversation. You know when it just feels weird? That's how it was. I am supposed to go see a Shark's game with her on Saturday, I'm hoping things will go better then. We'll see how it goes.
On a lighter note, I had a lot of fun wednesday. I got out of class around 2:15 and headed staight the nathan's place and started drinking. Nathan had been complaining that nobody would get drunk with him since he turned 21, so I said I would as soon as I was out of class. So, we started drinking around 2:45 in the afternoon. I pounded a third of a bottle of Ciclon Rum which is absolutely disgusting, but it had to be finished. After that I had a couple beers and was feeling really good. We chilled for a while and then met up with everyone and went to dinner at Gordon Biersch where they were not carding, so I had a couple more beers. Rock! From there we went to tower then Matt's house, where I had a few shots of tequilla and we watched some TV. After that I headed home and went to sleep.
I slept until like 11:00 on tursday, and stayed in bed till about 2:00. I did nothing all day and it was everything I thought it could be. We had a really nice dinner around 4:30. Very relaxin day. After pumpkin pie, the family and I watched Mr. Deeds. After that I popped online to see nathan and matt as bored as I was, so we all decided to go see 8 Crazy Nights. It was pretty funny, buy not a kids movie for sure.
Friday I cleaned my room a bunch, it was nice. Then went to work and headed down to Campbell to see a local show. I had not been to one in a long ass time, so it felt good to be there. Saw a lot of people I had not seen in a long ass time. After the show, nathan and I hit up Del Taco. It was damn delicious. Those chicken soft tacos are the best thing ever.
Saturday I had to work all day, from 9:30 to 6:00. After that I picked up 3 cheese pizzas from costco and headed up to Matt's house for the World Primere of "The Advenures of James and Matt: America's Most Moated." The movie went over pretty well. We had close to 20 people there and everyone seemed to laugh pretty good at it. Matt and I want to add commentatry, outtakes and deleted scenes, then put it out on DVD. Should be a lot of fun. After that I headed up to see Robyn for a little bit. She was over at Liana's house. It was a lot of fun hanging with them. Unfortuately, I was really tired and had to be at work at 7:00am so I went home early and went to bed.
Work was asolutely horrible. I was stuck putting glass pieces in the curio cabinet most of the afternoon and people kept asking me to help them, and I couldn't cause I was attending the case. Needless to say, there was a lot of people unhappy with me. But fuck them, there's a reason we lock that shit up, people shouldn't expect me to leave it out so I can help them. After work I went home and finished my room, it looks sexy right now. Robyn came over on her way back to Davis with her roomate Brian. It was great getting to see them. I going to try and get up there sometime after finals.
OK, I think that's enough rambling...

Sitting in the new Center for Innovation computer Lab. It's hella nice in here. Last night, was kinda shitty, but I'll blog about that later. I have a lot to blog about actually. I talked to Peter, blech. Nathan turned 21, so we're getting sloshed this afternoon/ evening. Robyn is coming home, I get to see her. Woo Hoo. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Woooooooooooooo Hoooooooo!
In about 9 minutes, I'm leaving the house to pick up NNN, Sarah and Danielle. They're going to Foothill with me, and at 11:50 we're officially on our way to Fresno! What's in Fresno? Well, our dear friend Kevin, and TOOL! Yep yep, going to see Tool tonight. I cannot wait. They are just so amazing and yeah, I'm excited. I'm looking forward to partying with Kevin too, it's been a few months since I've seen him, should be lots of fun. If I have time, I'm supposed to call one of the guys I work with, since he lives down there. It'd be cool to check out his house.
Well i think that about sums it up. I really miss Lisa, hoping to head over to her place on Sunday. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

So yeah, I found out something interesting tonight. I was having dinner and my brother and sister were around and started talking to me, and somehow Humboldt came up.
"Ya, mom doesn't want you to go up there. She thinks you'll flunk out."
"Yeah, she thinks only stoners and hippies live up there."
"Oh really?"
"She doesn't want you living with Nathan either, if you come back with any tattoos or piercings she'll kill you."
That pretty much sums it up. I don't know whether to laugh at this, or feel hurt or what. I mean, yeah, my mom is kind of nuts at times, but who isn't? I think I'm more hurt at this point. The fact that my mom thinks I'll flunk out is horrible, and especially since she told this to my siblings, whose combined GPAs might equal mine. I'm also upset that she'd be so mad about me getting a tatto or piercing. Obviously I have no plans for anything like that, but I think I should be allowed to have them, should I so desire. I'm wondering whether or not I should confront her on this shit. Any opinions?

Sooo much to blog about...
1. Phyics
2. History
3. Stagnant
4. Humboldt
5. Lisa
6. Last Weekend
7. Last Night
Physics
I have hated Physics all quarter. It has not been fun in any way at all. The teacher is absolutely horrible! The class is boring and I rarely pay attention because of it. So naturally my grade in the class reflected this. Not good. Well today I went into admissions and changed all that. Yep, I dropped the class. It feels so good not having to worry about that class. It's the first time I've dropped a class in college, it's kinda of weird, but yeah, it's for the best.
History
Since Physics (read: shit) has been dropped, there is no way I can continue being a Biology major and still expect to gaduate from Foothill in the spring. Soooo, I'm changing my major to History. I've already taken a fe history classes at Foothill and loved them. I also scored A's in all of them. I only need 5 more history classes to get my Associates Degree, so that's the new plan. I just hope I'm doing what's right. I know I'm doing what's fun, and what feels right, but I'm still kind of unsure of myself. It's like, I've had this grand plan for years, and now it's all changed. I just don't know...
Stagnant
Well, I'm not sure I've updated anyone that reads this thing about the band, but here's the situation. I'm, for the most part, out of the band. We all talked and decided on what was best for everyone. I have been so busy I cannot practice as much as I used to, and there is also the fact that this year is my last year at Footill, meaning eventually I'll be transfering off somewhere. Soo, we decided that I'll continue with the band and if they find someone inerested in playing with them to start trying them out. I figured that it took Adam so long to find me, that it'd probaby take a while for them to find someone new. Nope, two weeks later they found someone. I went to drop my drums off at the studio, on my way to see Lisa and saw a drumset where my drums usually go. I talked to Adam the next day and he told me they had found someone interested and were trying him out. I said that was cool, and asked if I could play one more show, he said that was cool. I have no idea if I'll actually get to play a last show, I really hope so though. We still hang out and party and everyone is cool which is what I really like. So that's what's going on with that.
Humboldt
I think this is going to be my school in the fall. Nathan has been trying to get me up there for over a year and a half, but I think he might have succeeded. We've got plans to get a house and shit, which will be awesome. I am so looking forward to NOT living with the parents. It is unbelievable. I just really need to get out. If I go up there, I can transfer to the Eureka Costco, which will be cool. I'll be making like $10.75/ hour by the time I get up, which is more then enough. Rent is only $1200 a month for a four bedroom house up there. I'd be able to make a month's worth of rent in a week's worth of work. Very nice!
Lisa
Not too much to report here. I'm still with her, and we're still having fun. I can tell a slight difference in me since we've hooked up and it has definately been a good thing. I'm glad I'm with her, and just feel so lucky.
Last Weekend
Last weekend was a lot of fun! On Friday I worked and then went over to Adam's house to party. I got there about 10:00 or so. Adam, Brent and Lisa, however, had been drinking since 7:00, so I had a lot of catching up to do. I walked in and started in on the Sierra Nevada. I had one in me before I got to the table, and half the second one. I double fisted all night. We played Kings, and then played a double deck game of Kings. Absolute madness. I ended up having 9 or 10 Sierra's and then started in on Coors Light. Needless to say, I was ALL kinds of fucked up. It was tons of fun. I passed out ound 4:00 and woke up around 9:30 or so. I ended up making myself throw up after I'd been for a while. Felt much better after that. Eventually I packed up and hit Mc Donalds on my way to work. McDonald's new slogan should be "With enough grease to absorb all the alcohl you drank last night!" There's nothing like a McChicken and fries when you're all hung over. It's the best thing ever.
Work was a challenge on Saturday, but I made it through. I got out around 8:00 and hung out with Anna and her boyfriend Dave, and his buddy Kevin. We all went to dinner at Chili's and then Anna, Dave and I went to Dave's place and played Scrabble. I kicked ass with triple word score on "oxide." I got home around 1:30 and wanted nothing more than to go to sleep.
Sunday I worked from 10:00 to 6:30. I wanted to leave early, but we were busy so I had to stay. After work hit the road. I planned on stopping by Lisa's for a little bit and then continuing on my wayup to Davis to see Robyn. I got to Lisa's by 7:30 or so. We hug for a while and enjoyed each other's presence. =) I took off from there around 8:40 and headed up to Davis. I made it to Davis by 9:30. Robn and Ihad not see each other since August so it was exciting to see her. We've been friends since 6th grade, she is like my sister, but much cooler. We had a lot of fun talking and joking, remembering shit from our past. I got to meet her new roomate Brian. Very cool guy. The three of us split a bottle of Captain Morgan's and then started in on the Crown Royal. We got nice and sloshed. We watched some movies and then went to bed. I got up the next day and loafed a bit, ate some food and then headed home. It was really nice going up to hang with Robyn.
Last Night
Last night I went to The Fillmore. The Fillmore is one of the most amazing concert venues in the world. It is just FULL of music history. It was the home of Jefferson Airplane, Santana and a little band known as The Grateful Dead. There are posters and pictures everywhere from over the years, it is just amazing to walk around and look at everything. Everyone should attend at least one concert their in the span of their life, it's just awesome! Last night's line up was HammerFall, King's X and Dio. Total butt-rock fest. I had a great time though. Seeing "Rainbow in The Dark" performed live was a thing to remember for sure!
Well I think that's everything for now. Hope everyone is doing well!
Today is the day I change my life. I'm almost kinda scared, and yet at the same time, excited. It's definately a strange feeling. However, it is something that needs to be done.
I'm dropping my physics class today, which means I'm no longer a Biology Major. Let the festivities begin.
Friday, November 01, 2002
So last night I came home from work and watched ER. Having gotten home around 1:30 the night before, I was exhausted last night. I watched my show and decided I'll just wake up an hour before I need to and get my math homework done before school. Well I woke up,showered and took out the book only to find out the next assignment is not due until Monday. So I turned on the tv and MTV is doing a Run DMC marathon. I still can't beleive someone shot Jam Master Jay, a true tragedy in the world of music.
In other news, tonight I'm working then heading up to the city for my friend Mike's surprise party. Tomorow I open and then I'm hoping to head over and hang out with Lisa for a while. Sunday is more of the same, opening up at 7:00 am then heading over to Adam's house. Going to watch the 49ers stomp the Raiders, and have some BBQ while we're at it.

Lisa called, she's coming over. =)
In other news, this take home chem quiz on Oxidation-Reducion Reactions is not working out too well.
I've got my new schedule planned out for the next two quarters already, should I actually decide to go through with it and change my major. Jeez... I hate making decisions, especially ones that will completely alter the rest of my life as I know it...
I hate Physics, and even more so, Chemistry. I think it's time for a major switch. Ahhh back to history. Woo Hoo!

Saturday September 7
*Tap Tap Tap*
"You need to get up and get back in your tent! You're going to get trampled."
"Huhhhh?? I was in my tent...."
"Whoa, easy, don't fall over."
That was my 8:00am wake up call courtesy of Gorge Campsite Security. Apparently I had made my way out of the tent sometime during the night and started picking grass, violently. Then all of a sudden I collapsed and fell face first into the grass, no more than 5 feet away from the porta potties. That's right, I was the guy passed out next to the Honey Bucket, which became my nick-name for the weekend.
After crawling back into the tent, I slept another hour or two until I had reached the point where sleep was just out of the question. The sun was bright and warm, and the campsite was alive, it was time to arise. I looked out over the gorge and was taken aback, realizing that yes, I actually was here. It wasn't a drunken dream. I did see a show, I did party hard, I was at the GORGE!
We spent the afternoon hanging out and partying, doing a little BBQ, chilling with the neighbors. I decided a shower was not worth walking all the way to the entrance and waiting in line, so I changed in the van.
A couple hours before the show I headed over to the lot and met up with Gina Marie, Esther, Pam and the gang and smoked some greens. We got nice and stoney and headed into the amphitheatre. Tonight I was sitting with Gina and we had the BOMB ass seats. 30 rows back, center of the side section, perfect view.
The show was absolutely awesome! Eleven and a half minute Crush! Cry Freedom! Needless to say I was a VERRY happy person after that show. Afterwards we met up with Dani and her crew and discussed how cool the show was. Then I ran into the camera crew again and of course they remembered me...
"Hey guys!"
"Oh man, look who it is. You're still alive?"
"Of course! Ya'll coming out to the site tonight?"
"Yeah probably"
"Hey, how much did you guys actually record last night"
"Just about all of it"
"Shit, really? Well as long as I sounded like an ass, I guess that's what's important."
"Yeah."
"Well, see ya'll later tonight."
With that I made my way back to the campsite for another wild wild night of intense partying.

OK, I know I'm mid-gorge but I had to break in real quick.
Tiff, things went really well. =)

So it's been over a week since I got home from the gorge, but I think I've finally recovered. Holy crap it was just one big insane weekend, with lots of beer, weed and very very very little sleep, oh, and some AWESOME concerts with even more awesome people. I'll try and remember everything as best I can, it was so crazy, but here it goes...
Thursday September 5
I had to open at Costco wich means I got there at 7:00 in the morning. Of course my body is just not used to going to bed that early so I got a whole 5 hours of sleep the night before. Worked for 8 hours, went home and packed up all my stuff. Three t-shirts, three pairs of shorts, boxers and socks, a sleeping bag, a pillow, one jacket, and some entertanment for the plane ride, some cd's and a magazine. We're talking only the bare essentials. Oh I brought my deodorant and toothpaste too. =)
So I head over to Adam's house, we go to practice then head back to his house. I had one beer and was so exhausted I passed out around 12:30. I woke up a couple times during the night, but finally woke up around 7:30 when Bev called...
Friday September 6
I had planned to sleep till 8:30, but it was cool, I read some of Adam's Guitar One interview with Tenacious D, always a good time with them boys. Adam woke up around 8:00, I jumped in the shower and we left for the airport around 8:40 or so. I got there and checked in with Southwest. I was amongst the last group of people to board the plane. I met a couple of cool guys at the airport that were headed up to the gorge too. I actually ended up buying a ticket off of them for Saturday's show, cause Heather needed one more. Anyways, I got on the plane, and everyone had filled up the over-head bins, bastards. I had specifically packed extra light because I hate checking bags. Anyways, they made me check my bag, oh well. The plane ride was nice up to washington. I landed about 25 minutes early, but we got stuck on the runway for about 15 minutes. Finally we pulled into the terminal. I was sitting in the very back of the plane, so I was like the last person off the plane, blech. I finally got off the plane and there was Heather and her posse waiting for me at the gate, their flight was early too. =)
I met Chris, Jimmy and Abby, three very cool people that Heather had met on tour back east. We all collected our bags and went over to Avis to get our Dodge Caravan. We made our way to Renton, WA and stopped at Wal-Mart. There we picked up most of the essentials for our trip, a "tent", some chairs, a spatchula, some charcoal, paper plates, paper towels, cups, and 5 dollar camping chairs. We then made our way to Safeway for some meat and BEER. Finally we went to Wallgreens and picked up an 8 dollar BBQ. With all our supplies in hand, we set out for ... THE GORGE!
Driving from Seattle out to the Gorge was awesome, we went from the Coast, through the Evergreen covered mountains, to the barren rock filled mountains of central Washington. Getting off the freeway for the Gorge, we saw a good 20 state troopers. We got a bit excited since there was some greens in the car, and some open containers, but we kept on driving and made it through just fine. We made it to our campsite, right next to the Honey Buckets, which are what the Porta-Potties are called out there. We set up our "tent" which was a $40 see through mosquito-net with a vinyl top. I named it "The Errogenous Tent Zone" or ETZ for short. We kept everything else in the van. I had talked to Gina and Esther and was planning to meet up with them before the show, so I headed over to will call, while everyone else enjoyed a couple more beers.
After making the 15 minute hike from the campsite to the Will Call office, I heard "it's James" and then all of a sudden I was covered in hugs by Bev, Gina and Esther. I totally felt the love in the air. I met Murillo too, who had flown in from Brazil to see the show, totally cool guy! We got all the tickets straitened out and we all made our way into the venue. Security at the door was a joke, the girls only had to open their purses, and the guys just walked through. Seriously, I went up and spread out, ready for a pat-down and instead was told to go through. I could have gone in there with an assault rifle, it was crazy, but oh well. I was supposed to sit all alone that night, but Gina and Esther totally hooked me up and sneaked me down to the 9th row. Security down there was a bunch of dicks and I thought I was going to get kicked out a few times, but managed to stay down there for the whole show. Esther was freaking out since this was her first show, I was glad that Gina and I were there to experience it with her. The show was amazng, I won't run through the setlist but personal favs included Bartender, SMTS-->ASTB-->Too Much, Loving Wings and Gravedigger.
After the show I said goodbye to everyone and headed up to the campsite. The show had totally energized me. I was dragging ass most of the day, but I was pumped after that show! I started drinking heavily while the BBQ got fired up. We made friends with our neighbors and partied with everyone, it was great. Adam, one of the guys next to us, had two HUGE bottles of Jack Daniels. We gave him beer, he gave us Jack. It was beautiful. I made myself a 32 ounce Jack and Coke, which was about 3/4 jack. Needless to say, I was WAYYYY fucked up. Next thing I know, there's a camera crew walking around. "Hi we're with the Dave Matthews Band, taking some film for this weekend, how are you?" I started talking out of my ass left and right. I was with them guys for 10 minutes, they were laughing their asses off. I told them I wanted to have Carter's baby, and started talking shit about When The World Ends and how they needed to play Big Eyed Fish more. It was geat. I invited the guys to our site for some s'mores, so they put the camera down for a bit and chilled. I don't remember much of more of that night except passing out in the tent, but there's more to this story. I'll finish it soon, I have to get dinner started...

Ok, so I was making it a point to blog pretty often and then all of a sudden I just stopped. Things got kinda crazy and I just fell off the Earth again, but you all should be used to it by now. =)
Not sure if anyone knew about James-Stock, but it was a complete success! You see, my parents, my brother and my two sisters all went down to San Diego for a week long vacation. I was invited but had to stay home because that was inventory week at Costco, and no time off requests could be granted that week. So I was forced to stay home. Darn! The party started on Tuesday night, August 20 and went for a week straight. The last beer was finished off on Monday August 26. Over the course of the week, many a people came and went. Justin and Erinn even flew up for friday and saturday. I kept track of everything we drank and the final number was awesome!
276 beers
(1) 1.75 liter of Bacardi
(1) Regular botle of Vodka
(1) Bottle of Midori
(1) small sized bottle of Bacardi 151
(4/5) of a bottle of Armaretto
(2/3) of a big bottle of Malibu
It was insane. We made these drinks called Flaming Dr. Peppers. You take a beer and put it in a glass. Then fill a shot glass three-fourths of the way with Armaretto, then top it off with 151. You light the 151 on fire then drop the whole shot into the beer and chug. It tastes just like a Dr. Pepper. It is the weirdest thing ever, but damn is it tasty! =) I also BBQ'd every night that week. The highlight I think was my chicken. I made a garlic-sesame teriyaki chicken. It was DAMN tasty, so good, I made it twice. I also did a tri-ti steak, some sausages, James-Burgers, Bean Dip, hot links, fish and Monday I sold out and just made a pizza. Over all the week was a complete success. I got everything cleaned up and throw away, my parents never said a word. I told them I had people over for BBQ every night but that was it. It rocked!
So I'm definately going to the Gorge. It hasn't quite set in yet. I leave on Friday. Flying from Oakland to Seattle, then meeting up with Heather and heading to the Gorge. I think the plan is to camp, but I know a lot of people in hotels, so I might end up in one. Who knows. I just know I'm gonna party it up hardcore! I'm really looking forward to hanging with the homies too! I think I'm sitting by myself on friday, so I'll have to have someone sneak me down so I can sit with people I know. Then Saturday and Sunday I'm sitting with Gina Marie, so that kicks ass! I'm pretty stoked. I've never been to the gorge, but the pictures look amazing, and the shows are always amazing from there. Should be alot of fun. I need to figure out what I'm bringing. A sleeping bag and a pillow are a good start, clothes would be good too. I really want to try and get everything into one nice neat bag that I can carry on. I hate checking my bags.
Tomorow I have to try and go talk to AT&T wireless. I want to see if I'll will be able to use my phone up in Washington. I know I will use it, but I do not want to get ass raped at the same time. I think once I go north of Oregon they consider it roaming, sucks ass. I hope I can swing something. Anyways, I'm out. Probably won't blog again till after Gorge, so I'll catch you all later.

So here I am, 9:15am on friday. What am I doing awake at this hour you ask? Let me tell you...
My car is sick. =(
I don't know what's wrong, neither does my dad, so we had to take it into the shop this morning. Early this morning, I had to get up at 7:00! YUCK! I just hope my car is ok, and it doesn't cost a lot to fix it. I need a car, it's not a question of want, it's need. Without it I cannot be in the band, or go to school, and once everyone goes back to school, I can forget a social life as well. It shouldn't be too bad though, gotta stay positive!
So Gorge is a month away. I really want to go, I'm pretty sure I can afford it too. I've been doing really good with money lately. I didn't spend all of my last paycheck, I get paid today, last week I put money in the savings account for the first time in 6 months, it's back up to 95 bucks (woo hoo!) Capitol One just raised my credit limit too, to $1000, however they left the interest at 19.8% so I won't be going crazy with that. I always pay that thing off every month, just need to establish some good credit before I can get a better card. Anyways, yeah, with the exception of my car needing to be fixed, I've been doing really good about saving money lately. Which is why I'm still considering Gorge!
Now to get to the Gorge you either fly into Seattle or Spokane, then drive 2-3 hours to the Gorge. However, I'm not 25, so for me to rent a car would be way too expensive. I'm thinking road trip will be MUCH better. Here's how I see it:
Wednesday September 4: Leave the bay area, and embark on the always calm, soothing, and breathtakingly beautiful drive up to Humboldt State. Party with my homies up there for the night and crash there.
Thursday September 5: Leave Humboldt and drive up through Oregon to Oregon State University. Party with some more buddies and crash there.
Friday September 6: Complete the homage and drive up to the Gorge for three days of wild and crazy DMB action.
Monday September 9: Drive home. This would either be a 1 or 2 day journey. Just depends on who I go with and whether or not they need to be somewhere the next day or not.
It'd be nice to stop halfway on monday and come home Tuesday, seeing how the Gorge is about 16 hours of driving from my house. All that driving would be horrible by myself, but if I can get even just one person to go with me it'd be awesome. Of course the more the merrier. If there was 4 of us total, it'd be perfect! My car is big and roomy and can totally handle 4 people on a road trip, plus it's always good to be able to split up the driving, especially if we plan to do the 16 hours on monday.
So now that everyone's read my master plan, who's booking a flight into the bay area for September 4th? Anyone? Please....
=)

Yee Haw! 360 days!
So yeah, had a really cool night on monday. I worked from 1:00 to 9:30 and when I got off met up with Danielle, Kevin, Kelly and Paola. We all went to Taco Bell and enjoyed the sumptious feast prepared for us. After that we decided it was a good time to see a movie. Danielle went home so the four of us hit the road. As we headed down Paola busted out her pipe. Nothing too unusual, Paola smoking pot is like me breathing air, or Justin listening to crappy jam-bands, it happens all the time. However, tonight was special. Kelly and I do not smoke, haven't in a while. Kevin just broke up with Danielle, so he's been doing stuff that he was never allowed to do, do he smoked. I've smoked a couple times in the past couple months, and so I decided, sure I'll smoke too. Kelly is in between with her boyfriend. He called her and said he wants to change his major and thinks he might not go back to school with her. So she was all "Fuck it, I don't even know if I have a boyfriend right now, I'll smoke! So the four of us passed the pipe around a few times as we made our way to the movie theatres. Kelly and I got REALLY stoned, like super sill, laugh at anything stoned, it was great. Kevin and Paola got pretty stoned too, but I don't think they ever caught up to Kelly and I. So we made it to the movie theatre by 11:30 only to find out that the last movie started at 10:30. Ooops. So we went over to a hotel parking lot, smoked some more and just hung out. Kevin and Paola went over to the nearby eatery to find a restroom, while kelly and I sat in Kevin's fan laughing non-stop for a good 15 minutes. We then headed to a Safeway and discovered Chewy Chips-Ahoy were buy one, get one free. We went through one package in like 7 seconds, it was amazing. Over all it was just a great night. Everyone had a really good time, and it was nice hanging out. I don't think I'm gonna start smoking like I used to, but every once and a while is ok. =)

Only 362 days till Vegas! Yeah boyyyeeeeee!
Had a really good weekend, nice a busy, just how I like it!
Thursday: Went to the Rainforest Cafe in San Francisco with 11 friends. It was NNN's last night in the bay area, after dinner we went to Sarah and Jessica's and hung out with the homies. After that I went back to Nate's and hung with him a bit more then went ome and went to bed.
Friday: Worked, came home and had dinner and cake with the family. After cake I met up with Paola and Sarah. Just then Brent called me up, he had just picked up his girlfriend from the trainstation and wanted to party with me. He met us at Safeway and we got a couple cases of Coors Light, then headed up to the city to my friend Danielle's appartment. I drank a lot of beer. It was weid cause I totally had planned on not drinking, but everyone insisted we party for my birthday, so I complied.
Saturday: Woked, then went and saw a play up in SF. It was actually 8 short plays, some of which featured Kevin's cousin, which was why we went. Some of them were really good, definately worth the 15 bucks. His cousin was kind of cute too. When we got back in the car, Kevin asked me if I thought she was cute, I told him yes and he told me how kinky and crazy she gets and that he'd hook me up. But the way he described her, I got scared. After leaving the city we dropped off Danielle and went to Denny's and hung out. Sarah went home after Denny's. By this time it was like 1:30 in the morning, Kevin, Kelly and Paola decided it was a good time to go the beach. We drove over to Half Moon Bay and walked along the beach. We found a nice place and sat down. We all talked and had a good time, Kevin and I smoked some cheap cigars, it was nice and relaxing. Got home around 4:00am
Sunday: Got called in to work early, but I didn't mind. Two extra hours on a sunday means an extra 31 bucks on Friday's paycheck! After work I headed over to the east bay and had some band practice. We wrote a new song on wednesday and tonight it was sounding pretty good, by next week it should be nice a tight!
So I think I should let everyone know that K-Mart has Joe Boxers now! Joe Boxer makes the most comfy boxers and before they were anywhere from 15 to 20 bucks a pair at Macy's. Now I can get them anywhere from 5 to 8 bucks a pair at K-Mart! HELL YA! I'm wearing some blue ones with pigs on them. The pigs' butts are on fire, and the words "who's cooking bacon?" are printed on them. They're damn cool. Guys, if you don't have any Joe Boxer boxers, get some! Ladies, buy some for your man.
And with that, I'm outta here...

So things have been weird. Lots of thoughts running through my head. I haven't even had time for them, which makes them all the more confusing. My parents are talking about moving, very soon. School is starting to worry me, along with my plans for school in the future. Yeah, I'm just about going crazy, but keeping it all contained. Some day it'll come oozing out of me.
Last night was interesting, I completely blacked out. I drank a lot in a short amount of time. It was harsh. I beer bonged, I did Irish Car Bombs and chugged beer the usual way. Yeah, I got WASTED. All I can remember is playing Kings, then waking up at 8:00 this morning, from there I went home, took a shower and made it to work on time at 9:30 and that's when I realized "I'm still drunk." Ooops. Ya, last night was bad, I'm not drinking for at least two weeks, maybe more.
Other thoughts are rolling around. mind is spinning, time to watch a movie and call it a night.

I swore I blogged, then nothing showed up, but now it is.
Here's how the weekend is shaping up. (is that the correct spelling? I have no idea)
Friday: Go to bank, cas check, take advantage of customer appreciation day and snag as many free things as possible. Then it's off to work from 11:30-7:00. Then pick up matt and NNN, and head over to Oakland. Run through the set list a couple times with the band then off to Davis for massive amounts of liquor consumption.
Saturday: Wake up (hopefully) and then make my way bck to Oakland. Pick up the drumset anddrop it off at Adam and Dom's house. Head back to the peninsula. Drop off Nathan and Matt and pick up Scott from work. Then it's bck over to Adam and Doms to start working on James Burgers. People are supposed to start showing up around 4 or so, and we're going to set up in the back yard and play our 25 minute set at 5. Then it's time to tap the Keg of Sierra Nevada. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm!
Sunday - Tuesday, work. Boring.
Wednesday: Drive down to LA and kick it with Justin, go see Widespread Panic, which sadly I think is the last time I'll get to see them. =(
Friday morning: Drive back home, hopefully in time to make it to work.
So ya, looks like another fun and exciting week ahead!
Tonight was interesting. My friend Paola is hous-sitting and we all went over to the house tonight to hang out. The people that live there are hardcore vegetarians. They told Paola to help herself to the fridge so we raided it tonight. We had vege-dogs, spinach nuggets and vege-breakfast links. The hot dogs weren't bad. The nuggets smelled like chinese food, but tasted bland and the fake sausage? Absolutely disgusting! BLECH!
Well that's it for now, see you all later!
Is this damn thing working?

blog time!
July 3: I SAW THE WHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had been working all day and got home around 6:15, cell phone has eleven missed calls, and the regular phone has a blinking red light. "James, it's Nathan. I'm going to shoreline right now, if you want to see The Who, you have about 15 minutes before we get to the lot and sell the extra ticket. It's The Who and it's free, so call us!" I picked up the phone, they had just left the house. I had enough time for a 6 minute shower, ate a hot dog and they were here. We found our seats on the lawn just as The Counting Crows had started their set. They were OK, but nothing I would go out of my way to see again. The Who was really cool though. I had never been too familiar with them but there were a few songs that I knew, and a couple more that I had heard, but didn't know it was by The Who. Overall I had a great time!
July 4: The fourth was cool. My godparents live on the coast about 30 mins from where I live, and their daughter was born on the fourth. Every year they have a huge birthday celebration. We haven't been able to make it the past few years however so we went this year. It was really cool getting to see them. There were alot of familiar faces, some I had names for others I did not, but it was cool. The fourth of July also happens to be Sarah and Jessica's birthday. They were having a family party with friends as well. It was over in Danville which is all the way across the bay from where I was. Got home around 4:00 picked up a couple buddys and we made our way to the East Bay. It was a really nice party. We played bocce ball! It was awesome. We also played Mafia, which is a role playing game that involves cards and groups of 10 or more. It was awesome. After two games of Mafia we headed home.
July 13: TOOOOOOOOOOOL! Holy Shit! Everyone must see Tool at least once in their life. It is seriously a religious experience. I had like 5 multiple orgasms. We got tickets for the Sacto show so drove up there around 3:30 cause I had to work till 3:00. We met up with our friend Danielle and her boyfriend, grabbed some Del Taco and headed to the Arco Arena. There we were raped a pillaged by the security. 10 fucking bucks to park! I guess I'm spoiled by Shoreline, which, for the most part, does not charge for parking. After parking we got in line to get inside. Security was doing pat downs and seemed to be all serious and bad ass about it. So being the nice guy I am, I go up and smile at the guard. "Please Turn Around." so I do and he proceeds to pat me down. As he's feeling me up I look at Nathan, smile and say "hey, this kind of reminds me of last night baby." Nathan starts laughing. Then I say "You know, you have to pay for this back in San Francisco." The guy asked me to turn around again patted my stomach told me to go in. The show itself was amazing though, best tool show I've seen!
Anyways that's the major update on the recent events of my life. My band is playing on Saturday. We're setting up in the guitarists' house and playing for our friends. We also have a keg of Sierra Nevada. =)
Speaking of beer. I was at Beverags and More on friday and found the coolest beer in the world. It's called Fat Cat and comes in a bright orange package. Has a picture of a cat smoking a cigar on it. The beer itself is also bright orange, kind of disturbing, but it was cool. The coolest part about Fat Cat though, the price. We got a case of it for 10 bucks. That's right folks, 25 cents a beer! Considering how cheap it was, I was pretty impressed. It was the best beer I've had, but it's better than budweiser. Check it out if you can!

Here's the news flash I received when I signed on today:
"WASHINGTON (June 28) - President Bush said he will undergo a colon check Saturday that will require him to be sedated. The powers of the presidency will be briefly transferred to Vice President Dick Cheney, he said."
I don't know what's scarier, Bush's colon being a top nws story, or Cheney in control, officially.

hey everyone! got some website news...
www.stagnantband.com is continuing to develop, I'm going to try taking some pictures tomorow for the site.
also the mp3.com site is up! www.mp3.com/stagnant.
In other news, school is almost done! June 26th is my last day! Woo Hoo! Been trying to get shit together for the band. We're tryng to get some new tunes written. We went to one club asking about booking and he said he wanted us to play an hour, which just is not possible for us right now since we only have 5 songs, so we're gonna try and get it together so we can play there at the end of July. Should be cool.
I talked to my neighbor the other day, gonna work with him in the mornings, doing the carpet gig again, then work Costco at night. Yee-Haw! Should be fun! Actually I just want to save up some money, take a trip somwhere. Originaly the plan was to hit up the chicago and alpine shows, but looks like things are changing, not sure what's up with that shit now. I'm definately going somewhere though, or buying myself a new TV, VCR and DVD player. Although I think I'd rather take a trip, we'll see what happens.

so I have work in 40 mins.
after work is still a mystery to me. Jonie called me yesterday, incredibly random, said she's going to come by Costco to say hi to everyone, then asked if I wanted to go get some coffee with her after I get off. I said sure, but she's a BIG time flake, so who knows...
My friend Bia is having a party tonight too, I want to go up and see her for a bit, definately going to stop by and say hello at the very least. I also need to jam over to Oakland and pick up my drumset! We're recording tomorow, I cannot wait! VERY VERY EXCITED. Should have it all mixed and ready to go by the 22nd. I'll let everyone know so I can send out copies.
Well I'm outta here, take it easy everyone and have a great weekend!

So I've given up on trying to remember the events of shoreline and memorial day weekend. I'm lazy and forgetful, but yeah they were good weekends. VERY good weekends. This weekend, going into the studio at school. We're going to record our five songs, hope to have it done by next weekend. Should be cool. I just bought a domain name for the band. Keep an eye out for www.stagnantband.com should be up and running in the next week or so, (hopefully.) Also http://www.mp3.com/Stagnant but that's not up yet either, right now our song is in the "approval stage." Basicalyl mp3.com has to go through and listen to the song, make sure it's ok and that there is not any copyrighted material in there, should be approved by the middle or end of next week. That's about it for right now. Remember:

ok, so I have not blogged since the year 4000 BC, but yeah, I'm still alive. Hopefully people will still read this...
First off, Spiderman KICKED ASS!
Second, Star Wars KICKED ASS!
Glad I got that out of my system.
I guess I should talk about the past two weekends..
May 18
Crazy day! Woke up at 9:00, showered and picked up Dr. Ryan from the SF airport. From there we went to Costco, and bought 880 corn tortillas. Then we met up with Alex, Bev, Eric, Gina and Steph. We then proceeded to another Costco and bought a lot of liquor! We all decided class was not an option, so I dropped off my paper and left school, met back up with the crew. We checked into my hotel room and got everything situated. 24 Sierra Nevadas, 12 Smirnoff Ice things, 2 (1.75) Bottles of Bacardi, and 2 bottles of Malibu, all in the tub, with lots of ice. From there I went and picked up Justin and Erinn, and my sister and her friend Luke. We all cruised down to Clarkes for a few minutes, said hi to some folks, then we cruised to the show. Got into the cool parking lot and made our way to the lawn. Nathan Spindel had a space saved for us, and we set up camp. We ran into Shelly, and Shep, very cool. Soulive was rocking! After they got off the stage, we started the tortilla war. We lost 120 tortillas to front door security, but we let loose 760 of those bad boys. It was amazing!
going to Alex's, I'll blog later

FOUR MORE DAYS!
I can feel the juices from within tingling already!
Monday, April 29, 2002
So today I looked at my calander, and realized some crazy things!
1) Spiderman opens this friday!
2) Star Wars Episode II opens two weeks from this thursday
3) DMB @ Shoreline is two weeks from this saturday.
It's all SO close! I can hardly wait! I'm really looking forward to Shoreline though. The set lists have been really good this year, I get to meet some new people, and hang out with old friends. Also, I get to take time off from school and work! I have not had a free moment in months, but that weekend will be great. Saturday, no work, but class form 1-3. Then Two concerts, no work on sunday, monday or tuesday. School on monday, but none on tuesday or wednesday. Sacto concert on tuesday night, no school wednesday, drop off Lani, then go to work. Thursday I get to go back into the swing of things, but it will be REALLY nice to have some time off from work. Also, nobody has requested Memorial Day off yet from work, it's first come first served, so looks like I'll be attending justINFEST starting friday night! Woo HOO! Time to change and get ready for work. Yay.
P.S. Beloved by Toni Morison, not diggin on it right now. Not at all!

Just don't feel like doing much. School is busy, and work and band takes up my other time. The freaky woman at work says I'm losing weight. Not sure if it's true, or she's just trying to butter me up before she attempts eating me...

Girls + Flowers = Crazy
We've all known this for a while, but I recently experienced it. I was at work and one of the managers found a rose on the ground, except the stem was broken off, leaving only the flower behind. Jokingly he gave it to Veronica and in turn she put it in my shirt pocket "There, now you look professional." It was funny. When I got home that night, the flower was still in pocket so I gave it to Nicole (my 8 year old sister) and she flipped out. She ran all over the place showing everyone what I gave her, put it in a glass of water and gave me a huge hug. It was crazy to see how excited she was to get a broken flower. Absolutely crazy...

Damn my ear hurts like a mofo! I've had this sharp stabbing pain in my ear since this morning. Have an appointment set up for 8:30 tonight. Blech! I hate going to the hospital, just don't like it at all. Ear infections suck ass, I'll get some penicillan (however you spell it) and be done with it. Too bad I'm so old, I'll have to take pills instead of getting the "bubble gum" medicine I got when I was a kid. I'm gonna take some homework with me to help pass the time, shouldn't be too bad. At least I got out of work early, although I really do need the money. Hmmm.
Thinkin about getting a new bed. My mattress is like 25 years old, used to be my moms. It's WAY past it's prime, so for sure it's time for a new one. Costco has twin mattresses for 100 bucks, prolly pick one up. Although, I was thinking about up-grading. They sell Full and Queen sets there as well. I'll have to take some measurements and see what's up, maybe I'll get a nice big bed (finally.)

New blog oming at ya!
MATT-FEST 2002 was on Saturday. I got WASTED! Matt's house was once again ripped a new asshole, and his parents were there, just like last year. It was great. Matt and I invented the Mexican Death Hammer. Another tasty concoction from J&M. I made the famous "James Burgers" and had a LOT to drink! Around midnight or so the cell phone came out. I called Lani, and left "two of the funiest messages she's ever heard" on her voicemail. Later on she called us back and we talked which was cool. Justin and NNN talked to her too. Nathan was wasted and started talking crazy to her, it was entertaining, then he hung up on her, not nice. We called her back though, it was fun.
(Side note, talking to NNN online right now-->
NNN: IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: ??
NNN: I totally had no idea how harsh i came off to your friend)
Passed out around 1:00am. Slept on and off for a few hours. Woke up and started cleaning up. Went home showered and then took Justin and Vafa to the airport. Worked sucked on sunday, let me tell you.
I was competely useless all day. I did not want to be there at all. I was walking around like a dead man. I asked if I could leave an hour early, Jeff said it was cool. I ended up going to dinner with Rebecca after work, then came home. I read for a little bit, took a shower then tried to do the write-up for my assignment, not possible. I needed sleep, lots of it, totally crashed. Woke up early and got the write up done.
Started my second week of classes today. I'm already ready for summer vacation. Just looked at my grades for last quarter, 3 Bs and 2 As, not too good, but better than I was expecting. I'm bunt out on school i thinks. But I really just want to get it over with. Foothill anyways, I'm looking forward to transfering and MOVING OUT! That'll be the day.
Not much going on this week. Work and school. We're going to try and do a recording on saturday at Adam's house. Should be interesting, hope it comes out decent. If so, I'll post up some mp3s. If not, ya'll will have to wait till June. That's the update for now. Enjoy.
Hope everyone is doing well. I miss ya'll. Haven't been able to get online much these days, kind of sucks ass.
Wednesday, April 03, 2002
I'm back. The drive up was perfect. Absolutely no traffic! Made it from Adam's house to HSU (300 miles) in 4.5 hours. We went to the store soon after we got there and wanted to buy massive amounts of alcohol. The store manager was a dick though and told the cashier on duty to watch out for a group of kids buying alcohol. I bought some frozen burritos, and Adam was behind me. I purchased my food and walked out and heard the lady say she needed to see everyone's ID before she would sell to him. I walked out of the store like I didn't belong to the group, but NNN and Sarah were standing by the door. Needless to say we went to Safeway instead. This time only Adam and Nathan went in. We got a 1.75 of Bacardi Gold and a six pack of Bacardi Silver. The Gold was the usually tasty rum that everyone loves, the Silver is Bacardi's newest invention, it's a bitch drink. Like Schmirnoff Ice and Mike's hard lemonade, 5% alcohol, malty. This one tastes like bacardi a bit though, tastes much better than the others. It was good, I was able to drink a whole one and not feel sick, I usually can only drink half a bitch drink, they're too sweet. Between the four of us we finished everything except one of the silvers.
The next morning we all woke up, Adam and I were fine. Nathan was a little hung over and Sarah was completely dead. She's never had a hangover before, and never puked from alcohol, she changed both of the statements this weekend. It wasn't pretty. Sarah spent all day in bed yesterday puking from time to time, she couldn't eat or drink anything. Finally around 9:00 she decided a shower might help her feel better. She got in there, vomited again and started to pass out. She came out and decided she needed to go to the hospital. She ended up getting an IV put in her to rehydrate her. It was kinda scary, but she ended up being fine which was good.
We left HSU this morning around 10 and got to Adam's around 3:00. The drive home was nice, not too much traffic. Came home after dropping him off, haven't done much since. Catching up on CD burning. Matt and I were going to hang out, but I just got a call from him. Roxanna is running late, missed a train or something, so matt is blowing me off. Whatever. Sometimes I don't think I know him anymore. =/
Gonna go call Jonie now. I talked to her on Monday before I left for HSU. Another girl I work with, Rebecca, wants to hang out with the two of us. That would be cool. We'll see what happens...

So this morning I woke up at 11. I hear a buzz. My pager. Who is paging me on a Sunday morning? I check the number? What the? I look at the little scrap of paper on my dresser. It's the same number. Jonie is paging me. Interesting.
She just wanted to say hi. She said she's not going to come back to Costco. They told her that if she sayed at Costco that she could be transfered over to membership, however she just doesn't want to do it. (I'm going to apply for it though.) We talked a bit, and I told her I was going up to HSU for a couple days. I told her I'd call her when I got back and maybe we can do something. She sounded cool about it, so we'll see what happens. I gave her my cell phone number, and said I'd call her during the week. Which brings me to topic number two...
I got a cell phone yesterday. It's nice. Nokia 5165 from AT&T. So far so good. I'm going to really test it out when I go up to HSU. If I can get service up there, I'll be one happy camper.
Did not go to church this year for Easter, kinda cool. My family went last night, but I had to work, and I didn't go this morning, so yeah, no church. Hehehe.

"Goodnight Sweetie."
Always a goodthing to hear. =)
It wasn't from Jonie though. It was from Nicole.
You see Cindy was our manager. However they always fucked her n her shedule, so she stepped down, and decided to work in receiving. Tonight was her birthday/ no more management celebration. So, Cindy, Nicole, Lisa, Scott and I went to TGI Fridays. We all hung out and talked, it was a lot of fun. Since our plans for the movie never worked out I didn't call Jonie. I'm going to call her next week. Anyways...
We had food and drinks, well I had coke. I think I could have probably ordered a beer, but I didn't wanna push it, so I stuck with the coke. Sat at the bar for a while, then got a table. We all had lots of fun. Anyways, at the end of the evening we all walked out to our cars. Nicole and I parked over in the same area. We talked a bit on the way to the cars and just before she got in her car she said "goodnight sweetie."
Nicole and I have always joked around and flirted in membership ever since I started. She's totally cool, and we get along well. Ahhh women....
So monday I'm working 10-6:30. After that I'm driving up to Humboldt State University. Can't wait. I haven't been there since January, and probably won't go back up there till August or September. I love going up there. It's really pretty and relaxing, very laid back. Cannot wait, should be fun.
I think I'm getting a cell phone tomorow. For years I've sworn against them, saying I'd never get one. However, I've come to the realization that I'm never home, they're damn convenient and I should really get one. I looked around some different web sites and I think AT&T has the best deal. 400 anytime minutes, and 3000 nights and weekends. Plus, if you sign a two year contract you get 50% more anytime minutes for the life of your plan. So that's 600 anytime minutes and 3000 nights and weekend, all for 40 bucks a month. I think I'll be getting it.
There's my blog. Hope you liked it.

I bought my first DVD today. Picked up Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. $17.99 from Costco, pretty good for a 2 disc set. Yee Haw! Now I just need to buy my ne TV and DVD plyer so I can actually watch it. That happens in may though. That's when I get free Executive Membership. If I'm buying a TV there, I'm gettin 2% back damnit.

I don't particularly WANT to take a final in an hour and a half. It's only for my music class. But still. Yep, that's all for right now.

I think I want to ask out Jonie. She's cute. I doubt I will though. She's leaving Costco on Wednesday. Hmmmm...

You are the sort of person that needs a sense of Harmony in your life and surroundings if you are to function at full potential. You instinctively avoid people and situations that generate either conflict or stress, partly because in the past you seem to have had far more than your fair share of both. Wisely, you seem to have taken the decision to control the pattern and parameters of your life - both in the present and in the unfolding Future. You are a very sensitive person - and if other persons could connect with this it would be to their advantage and your well-being.
Now there are many things in life that you require as being essential to your well-being ... but try as you may - something always seems to be getting in your way .... a word of advice .... "keep trying" and you may be pleasantly surprised to see just how matters turn out - .
Although you are, deep down, a very caring person ... you are very particular in the choice of friends and indeed very demanding at times. You can be most quarrelsome and controversial ... and it is because of this argumentative trait you can at times explode into open conflict - conflict with even those you may care for and love. It is because of this inherent argumentative streak in you that may have resulted in broken hopes and dreams.......
For whatever the reason, you find it extremely difficult to sustain relationships ... that is, to sustain them in the manner that you would wish. You are a very gentle sort of person ... full of feeling, sensitivity and susceptible to love and affection ... looking and longing for a partner with whom you can enjoy "All things bright and beautiful".. someone with whom you can seek out the more esoteric things of life. But up to now this person has only existed in your imagination. For whatever reason, you find it extremely difficult to sustain a close relationship – that is, to sustain one in the manner you would wish. You would appear to be a very choosy person, though appreciative, refined, and extremely artistic in temperament. But you tend to seek out only people who artistically are a mirror image of yourself, so that your own opinions will be left unchallenged and your own personal “status quo” left intact. Try to judge others not as you judge yourself and your peers.
You are inclined to be too trusting and you feel that you need to be on your guard against the possibility that your endeavours and actions may be misunderstood. Too often you have been taken advantage of and you have been mentally abused. Now you are seeking a relationship which can provide peace of mind, where you can be yourself and not have the need to put on a false front...
Thanks to Lani for the test. Ya'll can check it out here.

I went to Monterey tonight, got to hang wih Igg for a bit, that rocked. I drove down with my computer and new burner and he got it all up and running for me. James is a happy boy.
I think I finally started pissing off that girl Dani. She came over to me the other day and started bitching about her boyfriend. I looked at her and just said "Then why are you still with him?" She didn't have much to say to that. Today I was bitching about our English class and she started asking me about how many girlfriends I've had and that I'd have more if I wasn't so negative.
Whatever...
Ever have a friend that you know you could have sex with, if only you tried?

Tuesday, March 05, 2002
Hi,
It's been a while. Not too much to say really. Well kind of, just not enough time right now, nor the desire to type it all out at this point. Going to hang with Shayna, Alex and Esther tonight. Should be fun, maybe I'll blog when I get hom from there.

I scored an A on my English midterm!
We had to do an in class essay, so she wanted it straight forward and right to the point, which is how I like to write. Too bad all my essays can't be three pages, I could get used to this.
=)

Who wants to hear dumb girl stories? I know you all do! Here's the story for today. Enjoy!
I went to school today. That was hard to do. For those who are not aware, it's been between 70 and 75 degrees out the past couple days, absolutely beautiful! Anyways, I go to math, no big deal. Walk over to English. I stop half way there and talk to my bud Ernesto, like usual. Dani came over and said class was being held in the library today. I went over with her and we talked. Our brilliant professor arranged for us to take a tour of the library. Yes this is college english if you had any doubts, I know I do. We followed a lady around to various research places, and Dani kept watching and lookin back at me, always walkin over to stand by me. I paid little attention. =) This is the best part:
We were standing in one place for a while and she comes up and starts leaning on me. I was all "Hmmm, normally I would take this chance to put my arm around her." Nope, I shifted aroud and got her up off me. Hehehe. She looked up at me and said she was going to fall asleep on me, so I poked her side with my finger and told her to wake up. It was great.
We left the library and I ran into Ashley and Nico, introduced everyone and Dani said she had to go home. I stayed and talked to Ashley and Nico, and then Dani comes running back over. "He ditched class so he could spend all that time with that girl." She said some other choice words, including "I hate him." I walked down to my car and saw them walking to the lot too. They did not look happy. I think they are finished. Fun Fun Stuff.
In other news, we're going to throw Ashley a surprise party on saturday for her birthday. should be cool.

So here's my schedule this week
Monday: 9-11 school, 12-5 work
Tuesday: 9-1:30 school
Wednesday: 9-11 school, 1-9:30 work
Thursday: 9-11 school, 3-8 work
Friday: 9-11 school, 1-9:30 work
Saturday: 1-3 school
Sunday: 1-6 work
I also need to squeeze in two band practices in there. Saturday afternoon I'm going overthere, and we're re-arrangin the studio that way I can leave my drums there. That will be nice. But yeah, as you can see, I've been BUSY lately. Sorry I haven't been online much. I miss you all! With that, here's an update on recent things:
Thursday: Went and saw Tenacious D. AMAZING show. Best D show I've ever seen, for sure. They even played city hall, which has not been played since 9-11. I needed that show soo badly. It was a total release. I had not been to a concert since november, and up unil that, I had seen a show every week for like 6 weeks, so this was a long pause for me. But this concert was great! I was out of the house, yellin, screamin, singin, head bangin, and just flat out enjoyin myself! It was very theraputic. I also met Gina that night and got to hang with her and Sharon, which was cool. Talked to Alex a bit as well. Had a blast.
Friday: Had a midterm in English. I hate the class on so many levels. Everyday I question the point of my attendance, besides the obvious fact that she takes attendance. I hate that class. Can't wait for to be over, no more classes with Ms. Paye ever again. BLECH! I went towork at 1. Came home a lil before 10. Didn't go out or nothing. Probably the first friday night (excluding holidays) I've stayed home on in years. kind of weird.
Saturday: Went to class, learned about recording drums. very useful. =) Then I went to work from 4-8. I kicked ass too! Upgraded 5 people in 2 hours, then did go-backs for 2 hours. I rock! Hahaha. From there I went over to the East Bay and had band practice. We jammed for a long time, it flelt great. I got home around 1:30 or so.
Sunday: Slept a bit. Did not go to church again. Went to work at 12, got off at 6. Came home had some dinner. Then went over to Shayna's place. Her and John were there. Gina and Esther showed up soon after that. We all just chilled and watched the closing ceremony of the olympics, man did that suck. Esther said "Hella" that night, it was one of the coolest things ever. We also talked about hasbrowns, it was great. I went home around 11:40 or so. Went to bed.
Monday: Did not go to school today, it felt great. I slept in an hour later than I normally would have. Then I went over and picked up John Gina and Esther. We went to Stacks for breakfast. DAMN tasty. We had a good conversation, talked about Shoreline and stuff. I still haven't decided whether or not I need a room. Gina offered me to stay in her room along with like 4 or 5 people she listed, but ya, I'm cool. I'll just go with the flow, if I party, then I party, if not, no biggie.
Dani Update: Here's the subject that gets the most questions. The answer, I'm done with her. She keeps confusin me, and frankly I just don't have time for it. I found out she did have a boyfiend. She broke up with him on Valentines day. Nice eh? My favorite was when she was complaining and said I'd never do what he did and then she looks at Tamina and says "I wish James was my boyfriend." Fuckin eh. I've decided I'm done with it. Fuck it. This is the biggest reason I didn't want anything to do with a child. Fuckin games. Damn. Girls are too much to handle, but fun to handle too. Ha! John wants to set me up. I dunno about that one. I just don't know. Yeah I'm ramblin now. This blog needs to end. I don't want to go to school tomorow. Funk dat shit. I'm stoked to go to Alex's tomorow, gettin the D show from thursday! Hell Yeah!
Good Night.

word up
Today was interesting. I went to school, talked to Dani a bit in class. She said she was drunk last night when I talked to her and that she was trying not to slur. She didn't sound drunk. I didn't get much of a chance to talk to her about it though, I'll see what I can find out tomorow. I'm not sure why I'm still bothering. I think I truly have an interest in her. But I really don't like the games and the mystery and the idea that she might have a boyfriend. I think I'll just get all the facts, then I can rest easy. By that time I'll have been filed into the "Friend Zone" anyways. That should take away some of the awkwardness and confusion.
Matt came to school today. He came after his last class at SJSU and we went and had lunch together at the Foothill Cafeteria. Spicy Sesame Chicken. Mmmm Mmmmm MMMMMMM! It's so good, but fatal the rest of the day. You burp it all day long, but it's worth it!
I came home and opened up a few packages, got a bunch of shows today! Woo Hoo! I then called Tiff to wish her a happy birthday. She's probably wasted outta her mind right now. Happy 21st chica! After that I called Adam about going to band practice. Dom had to work, so no practice today. We're shooting for Saturday night after I get off work.
After that I got on daddy's computer and started burnin CDs! I was behind on trading since my burner broke, but now I'm good. I also looked for a new burner. Mr. Resourceful helped me find the burner for a better price from a reliable site his friends use. What burner am I getting you ask? I will soon be the owner of a 24x Plextor Internal CD-RW. HELL YEAH! I cannot wait to get that baby going! Burn a CD in 4 minutes! Craziness...
I talked to Iggy on the phone tonight, he had a buzz goin. It was cool. He hooked me up with some Tenacious D vids! Woo Hoo! I'm sleepy. I should go to bed. Will I? Probably not. My brain is on overdrive the past few days. I need some chill time. Like vacation or something. I've been home for too long. I want to move out. I have another year of Foothill. Blech. I love my school. I just want to not live here anymore. I want my own place. Roomate or not, doesn't matter.
Tonight I told my mom I have lost all interest in the Roman Catholic Church and that it has destroyed our family. She asked why I still went to church. I told her I still had faith, but as fair as the people involved in the church and organization goes, I'm not pleased. Our family is all kinds of fucked up. It's been on my mind. I'm not exactly happy about it. Sorry for being vague. I'll try and write some more another time. Too many thoughts, too little brain...
waring, 2 hour blog below, proceed with caution. you've been warned

Hi. I'm sooooo tired! I've been working, A LOT. I like the idea of making money though. It's very refreshing. I just filed my taxes for lat year. According to the IRS, I made $2,328.68 last year. The feds took out $93.05 and CA took out $0.11 I'm getting the 93 bucks back. They're keeping the rest. Pretty Sweet eh? I'm excited.
So the weekend, it wasn't half bad. Friday, worked 1-9:30. Got home and talked to Justin. Then I called matt. He was at the Cactus Club. I got off the phone and rushed down there. Saw a few bands play it was cool. Came home completely exhausted and passed out.
My head hurts, I just took an advil. It needs to kick in, QUICK!
So Saturday was fun. I slept in till like 11:40. Felt so good. Reminded me of my days of old when I would sleep in to 12, 1 up to 2 pm. Anyways, I went to work at 4. I was supposed to get off at 8, but they were doing inventory that night so all the clean up was done by 6:30. I left. Went over to Dave's. Hung with him anna and matt for a bit. Anna and I left around 7:40. We stopped and picked up some lotto tix. Neither of us won the 191 million dollars. =( From there we drove up to SF. Our friend Bia was havin a party. I had to be back home that night so I was good boy and assumed the role of designated driver, I got a free dinner out of it. =) Anna got drunk. Bia was WASTED. I met a bunch of Bia's friend/ roomates. One of them, Tracy, she was damn hot, and huge boobs that just stcuk out. She didn't have em hanging out, they were just very viewable. There was no way to not notice them. Even Anna admited to watching them while Tracy danced. Heh. The party was ok. I was completely sober and didn't know a whole lot of people. But I was having a bad time or anything like that. It's just always weird meeting a bunch of new people at a party and being sober. We left around 12:20 or so. After dropping off Anna, I was home around 1ish. Watched a bit of TV and went to sleep.
Sunday. My mom wasn't feelin good so decided to let us all sleep in and not go to church. (Had I known this I could have gotten drunk at Bias, oh well.) I woke up around 9:30 or so. I tried to get DMB tix online at 10. It was of no use. I couldn't pull up any. My Ticket Master connection tried pullin tix, the first ones he got were lawn. FUCKED! I went back to bed and loafed for a bit. Watched some of a movie. I got back up, had some food and went to work. I worked from 12-6:30. Got home and had dinner. Then I got online and Bia was sayin she was really bored. I said I'd come up and chill if she wanted, she said yeah. I went up to her place and we watched Almost Famous. Kick ass movie.
I wanna cuddle. Just lay down for 2 hours and cuddle. I'm in one of those moods.
So yeah, after almost famous we watched some Crocodile Hunter. After that I left and came home. Watched some tube and passed out.
Today I woke up just before my alarm at about 10:20 or so. Woke up had some food and went to work. I worked 12-5. It seemed to lag today. I only got three people to upgrade, it sucked compared to the 7 I got yesterday. I did get some other things accomplished though. I got my social security card opied so they can verify my identity. I also turned in a canceled check so they can start my direct deposit. I also got my schedule changed for this week. Now I can go to the D show on thursday. Woo Hoo!
I called Dani tonight. She continues to confuse me more and more. I called and her mom picked up and got Dani for me. Dani picks up and here is how it goes:
Dani: Hello?
Me: Hi Dani it's James
Her: Who?
Me: James
Her: uncomfy silence
Me: You know, from English
Her: Oh! Hii. You scared me, I didn't know who it was. I guess you're callin to remind me about something?
I went on to remind her about the reading assignment we had. We chatted for a couple minutes, talked about this weird dude in our class. I was just about to ask about her weekend, and work my way to finding out about her possible boyfriend. I was cut short though. She said she had to run cause her family was having a late dinner. What the fuck? I just wat to know what is going on. I mean, shit. One day it seems like she wants to take a ride on mr. james' wild ride. Then I call her tonight and she doesn't even register my name. Maybe I was trippin. I dunno. I'm about to give up all together. I don't really have time for a girlfiend with work and school and band. I would like someone to cuddle up with every once and a while though....
So this blog has taken over 2 hours to complete. I was chattin with people while I was doing it, but still. This is a lot of dribble. not sure if anything makes sense at all. I'm sure there are a million spelling and grammar errors. I don't care. If something is completely confusing let me know I'll try and fix it. Yeah that's it, good night nurse

Note about previous blog. That college is pronounced Cun-yada, not Canada. It has a "~" over the n.
So yeah, Happy Valentines day. I worked today. Learned how to do a bunch of stuff on the Costco computer system. It was cool. The people I work with all seem nice. There's a cute chick named Katie that goes to Canada, it's another JC out here, not as cool as Foothill though! I'm closing with her tomorow, she was nice. I also met a few other cool people, some boss type guy named Michael. His name was hella cool it reads "MICHAEL" then underneath in smaller letters "NOT MIKE!" Gave me a laugh.
So today wassssssssss Valentines Day, and guess what? That's right, more random encounters with Dani. I got out of math class early and was standing outside of my english class waiting for the other class to get out so I could go sit down. Dani comes up and we talk for a bit. The other class leaves and we start to go in and she looks at me and says "Can you sit by me today, I didn't do my packet so I don't want her to pick on me." So whatever, we sit down and she gives me a Valentine package containing some homemade heart shaped cookies and some Hersheys Kisses. They were tasty. =)
Our mutual friend Tamina came in and sat on the other side of me. Dani had a package for her too. Tamina is going to Santa Cruz for the weekend with her husband and was talkin to Dani about it and mentioned a "Mike." Not sure who is. If it is Dani's boyfriend, which i think it is, I'm afraid I'm givin up on girls for a while. I'm not going gay or nothing, although I would if I could. Gay guys got it sooo much easier, they don't have to deal with women. Instead, I like girls, can't change it, so I'm stuck with it. I'm all confused and shit. I'll call her this weekend like I said I would, I'll see if I can make any sense of it all. but yeah umm, it's 10:25 on thursday night and I'm almost ready for bed.
No school tomorow. Woo Hoo! Instead I have work from 1 to 9:30. I'll probably just come home after that and loaf around. Saturday I have no class! work from 4-8 then going to see my friend Bia. Haven't seen her since December, and that was only for like 10 mins. I'm lookin forward to that. It's supposed to be a "slumber party" but I'm not sure if I'm spending the night or not. I have work the next day at 12:30, and technically I should go to church at 9:30. I'm not even going to try and get DMB tickets, I got NO cash, and don't get paid till the 22nd.
OK, that's enough for tonight, hope all the couples reading this had a good valentines day. Everyone else, hope your Singles Awareness Day was ummm, not horrible? ya, goodnight

Check This.
Thanks to Iggy for that one!
So there's a chick in my English class, Dani, she's kind of weird.
She always talks to me about the most random things, seems like she is always wanting to say something, but usually just says something random. She started sitting next to me this week, and is always complimenting me. She read my essay and kept telling me how good it was and how much of a better writer I am than her. She went as far to say "Your last name is Kahn? That's such a cool last name."
On Tuesday our teacher told us we needed to bring a certain book to class for Wednesday. A few minutes later she grabs my notebook flips to the built in calander carboard page thing in the front, you know what I'm talking about, has a calander and the multiplication table on the back. Well she flips to that page and writes down her phone number and instructions to call her after 5:30. She gives me back my notebook and smiles and says "you need to call me tonight and remind me to bring that book tomorow."
I called her and reminded her, talked to her for a few mins. Told her about my new job and we complained about how pointless our class is, and that the only reason we go is because Professor Paye takes attendence. (Soo High School.)
Speaking of high school. Dani should be there. She graduated 2 years early, she's only 16. How shitty is this? Girl seems sort of interested in me, i thinks, gives me her phone number and I can't do a damn thing with it.
Today she told me I had to call her over the weekend and remind her to do some work in our packet. (Yes I said packet, damn class reminds me of High School soo much.) Anyways. Am I trippin? To me it seems like I should go for her, and if she were 2 years older, I totally would. However the fact remains, she is a youngin.
Maybe I am trippin. Maybe she's just really forgetful. I dunno. Girls suck. They always play hard to get, or think they're being up-front and obvious, but rarely are. The ones that are up front and obvious, are usually off limits.
Whatever...
Comment, Please.

So I was talking to a friend of mine tonight. I was teasing her about wanting a Donkey Punch. She had this to say:
you have a better pulse on my ocean of kinky sexual desire than anyone else
It's one of the coolest compliments I've ever received.

Anyone want to give me $4,000?
Please!
My burner just died! FUCK! Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck! That's all I can say is FUCK!
I guess I know where my first couple of paychecks are going...
Live 105 fucking pisses me off. Whenever The D come to twn, they totally act like they support the D. Today is a perfect example "Concert Calander, Tenacious D at Slm's February 21." It's cool that they get the word out about the D, however I constantly call and request it. "I'll try and get that on for you." That really means "I'm not playing this, but I don't want to tell you the truth." Fuck that! They're a bunch of fuckasses over there. I'm gonna e-mail Lee of see if he can make some calls. The only reason I listen to Live 105 is because it comes in on my radio in my room. I need to get an antenae. In the mean time, think everyone should email a request for Wonder Boy by Tenacious D.
Friday I hung out with Anna, Matt and Roxana (big surprise.) I didn't spend any money. Yay me!
Last night I went to Matt's house. His parents were gone so we decided to "get destroyed." We succeeded. =) Fuck, michelle just sent me the IM I sent her last night. I remember getting on matt's computer to show him an e-mail. Here is what I sent michelle:
CptnKFC: michelle, i'm drunk
CptnKFC: and you're gone
CptnKFC: ut
CptnKFC: you should know
CptnKFC: that you kick ass
CptnKFC: ]and ytou belong with nathan
CptnKFC: and i love knowing that you are with nathan
CptnKFC: i love him
CptnKFC: ha ha ha
CptnKFC: he rules
CptnKFC: and you ru;le with him
CptnKFC: come to berkeley
CptnKFC: thats my advice
CptnKFC: niote nite chica
damn I was wasted last night. I don't remember sending that to michelle. I remember talking to heather and dave, then leaving the room and matt got on the computer. Matt and I decided to try a new rum last night. We picked up a botle of Bacardi 8. Soooo smooth. Only 20 bucks a bottle. I highly recomend it. (Makes the Death Hammer smoother than ever.) Matt and I we kind of emotional last night. But we bonded. It was good to get some shit off our chests.
So today I found out that I did NOT win the $88 Million Lottery. =(
I got the "mega number" though, I think I won a dollar, I'll cash it in tomorow. I need to finish my essay. I'll work on that tonight. I want to watch the Simpsons. It better be a new one. I start work on Tuesday!

Oh how you must have missed me. Ha!
I haven't been on here in a while, so here's the update.
Friday - Chilled with the homies, nothing too exciting.
Saturday - Went to class and church. Got to see NNN and Sarah. Visted Dave and gave him his sweater. Then saw I am Sam. EXCELLENT movie. Sean Penn does an amazing job, go see it!
Sunday - got up early, met up with Alex and scored Tenacious D tickets. Then came home and loafed. I took my 7 year old sister to see Kung Pow. It had some funny moments but it was as stupid as the commercials make it look. My sis had a blast though, and that's what counts. I came home as U2 was leaving the stage, and I watched the rest of the game.
Monday - Went to school, it was exciting.
Today - Went to school, then I WORKED!! Fuck yeah! Made me $100. It gets sweeter though (I hope.) While I was gone, Costco called me. Norton Scott left me a message "regarding my application." Hopefully I've got a job there! I'm going to call them tommarrow and find out. If I have time, I'm gonna go to band practice tommarrow too.

Last night we had our first band practice in nearly a month. We were rusty, but it felt really good play. We worked on a few of the songs we already had, and played around with some other riffs. Adam said he was going to work on some lyrics to put to some of the songs we have. I told Adam I wanted to start helping with the Studio rent, but he told me he totally understands my situation and not to worry about it right now. He's so cool. =)

Which drink are you?
I don't even like Jager. Blech. I know what drink I truly am, the DEATH HAMMER!
I went to Costco today. I filled out an application, had two interviews, filled out some paper work and completed my first ever drug test They are going to do a background check and as soon as the results come in they'll call me. They said this can take anywhere from one week to two weeks. They'll pay $10.00 an hour starting so that would be cool. I'd be willing to extend my "February 8" deadline that I posted about earlier if this job pans out. I really hope it does. Pleas God let me get a job!
Job(less) Update:
I called Sharper Image yesterday and talked to Margret again. She said they just finished their inventory and submitted all their stuff to corporate. She went on to say that she needed to wait for a corporate OK before she could hire people. I said OK and ended the convo. Later I thought about it some more. That corporate OK could take anywhere from 2 days to a month. Not Good!
My goal is to have a job by Frday Febrary 8, 2002. I don't care where, at this point I'm desperate enough to go work at Tower for $7.00/hour (with horrible hours.)
I'm babysitting my little little sister right now. As soon as someone comes home I'm leaving to go pick up applications for other jobs. First place I'm checking is Costco. Seems like a cool place to work, and Shayna said they pay well.
I'll report back later...
