I went to Costco today. I filled out an application, had two interviews, filled out some paper work and completed my first ever drug test They are going to do a background check and as soon as the results come in they'll call me. They said this can take anywhere from one week to two weeks. They'll pay $10.00 an hour starting so that would be cool. I'd be willing to extend my "February 8" deadline that I posted about earlier if this job pans out. I really hope it does. Pleas God let me get a job!

 
Job(less) Update:

I called Sharper Image yesterday and talked to Margret again. She said they just finished their inventory and submitted all their stuff to corporate. She went on to say that she needed to wait for a corporate OK before she could hire people. I said OK and ended the convo. Later I thought about it some more. That corporate OK could take anywhere from 2 days to a month. Not Good!

My goal is to have a job by Frday Febrary 8, 2002. I don't care where, at this point I'm desperate enough to go work at Tower for $7.00/hour (with horrible hours.)

I'm babysitting my little little sister right now. As soon as someone comes home I'm leaving to go pick up applications for other jobs. First place I'm checking is Costco. Seems like a cool place to work, and Shayna said they pay well.

Well last night was pretty cool. I got a free meal, alcohol and got to hang with some awesome friends.

So it looks like I'm going up to HSU (Humboldt State University) on Saturday. Sarah and NNN were supposed to take Sarah's car up there this semester so they obviously did not arrange rides up there. Thursday - Went out with Mike and Mike. These are two homies I met at the library. Haven't seen these guys in a LONG time! It was cool hanging out with em, we went to Red Robin it was good food. Friday - I was supposed to go to the movies with Nathan (he has a new name, we'll discuss later) and Sarah. From there I hauled ass up to Foothill for my Music Recording class. After that I came home and called up John Dunn. I went and hung out with him while Shayna got her hair cut. After that we went and chilled at Nathan's house for a little bit. I drove home around 2 and there was some THICK ass fog. Talking like 5-10 feet of visibility. So glad there was nobody else on the road.

Sunday - Didn't do shit all day. Just loafed around. It was quite nice.

Today - Went to class watched a film in English about Obedience. Scary shit. Came home. Right now I'm chattin with Lani and Nathan. Upon talking with Lani I decided I need to make a distinction between the NorCal Nathan and the SoCal Nathan. Day Two of school, and I'm ready for spring break. I haven't even been to all my classes yet. I tried going to my Social Science seminar today and was the only one in the class. I sat there for about 10 minutes and finally went to the Social Sciences office. Turns out the instructors daughter died so he wasn't teaching this week. Not sure if the class is cancelled completely, or just for today. We only meet once a week, so I'll find out next week. Just kind of annoyed me that I waited around school in th library for an hour, for nothing. But the guy lost his daughter, so I can't be mad in any way shape or form. If this class did get canceled it clear up my schedule a lot, that's for sure. Actually not really.

In other news, my friend nathan called me this morning and left a message telling me that Dave Thomas died today. You might recognize him from his commercials, he was the founder of Wendy's. I think this might be a big blog, be warned.

First off, weekend was pretty fun, but I had some sad realizations. When school let out December 13, I had bee seeing less and less of my two main homies, Anna and Matt. Anna was constantly going to the hospital to see Dave, and Matt was constantly going out with Roxanna. We'd see each other at schoo though at least, and weekends occasionally. Well when school let out, we didn't see each other at all. But everyone from outta town came in, so I was hangin with them and practicing with the band. I saw matt once. I saw anna once. Then everyone hung out yesterday. We all went down to the hospital to see Dave. So there I was, amongst three couples (Nathan & Sarah, Anna & Dave and Matt & Roxanna) ultimate third wheel action. However matt and roxanna were the only ones being all lovey crazy. In fact, they are a whole new level. They were making out and grinding each other most of the time. Her in his lap and everything. It's way outta hand. Ugh! I won't be seeing much of Anna either since she'll be getting to school when I leave, and then she's got work and Dave to attend to. Everyone else will be going back to their schools in the next two weeks. I need a job now more than ever. Band practice will be a good time user, but I just got asked if I could help out with the rent for the studio, so I totally need a job. I figure between 6 days of school, work and band practice I should occupy myself with enough things to do. I just really need a job.

I mean, if they're going to rape me with such high prices, they could at least have slightly better hours. They're open till 1 tommarrow, doubt I'll get there in time. I'll just get them on monday or tuesday.

This weekend should be fun. Band practice followed by beer night tonight. Then tommarrow going to visit Dave in the hospital. Sunday is whatever, and then Monday I start school.. Yuck.
