So here I am, 9:15am on friday. What am I doing awake at this hour you ask? Let me tell you...

My car is sick. =(

I don't know what's wrong, neither does my dad, so we had to take it into the shop this morning. Early this morning, I had to get up at 7:00! YUCK! I just hope my car is ok, and it doesn't cost a lot to fix it. I need a car, it's not a question of want, it's need. Without it I cannot be in the band, or go to school, and once everyone goes back to school, I can forget a social life as well. It shouldn't be too bad though, gotta stay positive!

So Gorge is a month away. I really want to go, I'm pretty sure I can afford it too. I've been doing really good with money lately. I didn't spend all of my last paycheck, I get paid today, last week I put money in the savings account for the first time in 6 months, it's back up to 95 bucks (woo hoo!) Capitol One just raised my credit limit too, to $1000, however they left the interest at 19.8% so I won't be going crazy with that. I always pay that thing off every month, just need to establish some good credit before I can get a better card. Anyways, yeah, with the exception of my car needing to be fixed, I've been doing really good about saving money lately. Which is why I'm still considering Gorge!

Now to get to the Gorge you either fly into Seattle or Spokane, then drive 2-3 hours to the Gorge. However, I'm not 25, so for me to rent a car would be way too expensive. I'm thinking road trip will be MUCH better. Here's how I see it:

Wednesday September 4: Leave the bay area, and embark on the always calm, soothing, and breathtakingly beautiful drive up to Humboldt State. Party with my homies up there for the night and crash there.

Thursday September 5: Leave Humboldt and drive up through Oregon to Oregon State University. Party with some more buddies and crash there.

Friday September 6: Complete the homage and drive up to the Gorge for three days of wild and crazy DMB action.

Monday September 9: Drive home. This would either be a 1 or 2 day journey. Just depends on who I go with and whether or not they need to be somewhere the next day or not.

It'd be nice to stop halfway on monday and come home Tuesday, seeing how the Gorge is about 16 hours of driving from my house. All that driving would be horrible by myself, but if I can get even just one person to go with me it'd be awesome. Of course the more the merrier. If there was 4 of us total, it'd be perfect! My car is big and roomy and can totally handle 4 people on a road trip, plus it's always good to be able to split up the driving, especially if we plan to do the 16 hours on monday.

So now that everyone's read my master plan, who's booking a flight into the bay area for September 4th? Anyone? Please....

=)
