Well, it's monday, the mess is cleaned up, beer is mostly put away, but the blood still remains splattered on the street and on Matt's car.
Yeah, the party was kind of interesting. It was going fine for a while. We had a keg, there were tons of people and everyone was just plain having a great time. Then some weird people showed up. People nobody knew, but somehow found out through friends of friends of friends that were invited. Stupid drama went down, fists started swinging and there was a lot of blood loss. I made it through without injury, though my favorite party shirt got blood stains all over it. My roomate nathan got jumped by a bunch of Somoans, his nose is still swollen.
I don't get why people have to get all stupid when they're drunk. It's like, they set out to start fights and see how much shit they can stir up. I don't get it, it's not fun. Everyone was drinking and smoking and having an awesome time, till the asshole gang got there. Grrr. Sometimes, I really hate people.
After the party Nathan and I got into a big old fight and I ended up in my room talking with matt and kelly for an hour, then passing out. Talked to nathan last night though after I got home from work and everything is cool as far as I can tell.
While we're on the subject of roomates, I might have a new one. Not sure if everyone is aware of the situation @ Harris Ranch, but here it is:
5 bedroom, 2 bath house.
4 people living in it.
5 people paying rent.
Our friend Nik was the first one to get excited about moving to Humboldt County, moved all his furniture, changed all his billing addresses, even registered to vote up here. All he had left was to find a well paying job he could live off of, and he was here. A couple weeks ago, when the red sox were playing in Oakland, so whenever that was, he called us. Nik says he's sorry, but he can't afford to move up, there's no job that will allow him to pay off his credit card debt. However, he says, since he's living at his grandparents for no rent, and is legally obligated make good on the lease, he has agreed to continue paying rent. It's a cool deal for us, however, I feel kind of bad making him pay rent for a place he's not even living in.
Story number two:
There is a guy at work, Jay. He moved up here from San Diego a week before I did. He had a girlfriend of 4 years, though they'd never lived together. They now work together, go to school and live with each other. A month or two after moving up here, they broke up. Awkward. Now, she is seeing someone else, another person from Costco, and Jay just can't hang with it, and I can't blame him. He came over Friday cause he needed to get out, he was at the party, and he came over again last night. We kind of talked about it, and he asked if we were looking to fill that empty room. So Nathan, Matt and Sarah all said they want him to come hang out more so we can all get to know him more. We also need to talk to Nik, but that seems like it won't be much of a problem, now he'll have free storage for all his shit, and he can still come up whenever he feels like it. I'll keep everyone updated on how this all turns out. Well, time to head home.
